The existing bridge structure is unaffected by the proposed works and will remain. Enhanced access for pedestrians wishing to use the canal towpath will be provided to the left of the picture. A colour scheme will be selected which matches existing colour schemes along the canal corridor.

The existing earth mounds beneath the bridge will be removed to enable the new carriageway to be constructed.
